Choosing A Wine Chiller

Choosing the perfect wine chiller for your collection of fine wines could not be any easier. Your decision should really be based on your needs. There are several different styles, brands and types of wine chillers. Some are called wine chillers and sometimes they are referred to as wine cellars. The point of each is the same. To keep your wine collection in a humidity and temperature controlled environment.

You may be asking yourself why do I need a wine chiller? Good wines need proper storage and making sure that your wine is stored properly will ensure perfect wine at any time.

Here are some things to consider and look for when choosing the prefect wine chiller. A good wine cellar should allow the wine bottles to sit on their sides.  They should be easily accesable. You want to be able to get to any bottle without disturbing or moving any other bottles in your collection.  Keeping those bottles still is a very important part of aging your wine.

The next thing to focus on would be the size.  There are large wine chillers and some that are made for a single bottle. The size should be determined by the size of your current growing collection.  Make sure there is ample room for all of your bottles and any new ones that you might want to add.

You should also check the quality of the construction.  A well built wine chiller will have quality hinges and seals that prevent any temperature or humidity leaks.  You want a constant temperature of around 55 degrees. A temperature thermostat and a humidity thermostat are also very important features that should be considered.

Keeping all of this in mind should help you make the perfect decision on your wine chiller.
